Hi, I'm Miles.

Software engineer, ultrarunner, and UESCA-certified running coach. I run 100-mile races in sandals, eat plants, and build things on the side.

About

About me

I'm a software engineer and engineering leader by trade, and an ultrarunner by obsession. I've finished 100-mile races across the western U.S., Alaska, and Mexico's Copper Canyons, running with the Rarámuri. I run in sandals and eat vegan. I used to be someone who could barely move, so I don't take a single mile for granted. Trail running is the closest thing I have to a spiritual practice.

I grew up in Alaska and now live in Utah. I'm a Chapter Captain for Still I Run, I organize running events around Utah, and I build apps in my spare time. I'm part of the Mas Locos and Born to Run communities, and a sponsored athlete with Luna Sandals and UltrAspire. I've also run every day since February 7, 2023.

Right now everything points at one thing. On October 10, 2026, World Mental Health Day, I start the Utah Crossing, a 420-mile crew-supported run from Cache Valley to St. George. I'm raising $25,000 for Still I Run.
